What backbone, what GUTS! After coming out in support of Trump, Aaron Carter now says he won’t vote because he was bullied online!
Pop singer Aaron Carter walked back his endorsement of GOP frontrunner Donald Trump over the weekend — claiming to have received death threats over his public support — and pledged to not vote in the upcoming election.
In February, Carter endorsed Trump by asking his 500 thousand followers, “Does America want to have a president who FOLLOWS or someone who leads? I vote For @realdonaldtrump.”
Then in a blistering act of courage:
Carter took to Twitter on Sunday to claim he had been “bullied” out of voting for Trump.
After one of Carter’s followers posted, “[You] voting for trump but I still love [you],” he replied: “I honestly don’t think I will at this point. I’ve been bullied so badly because of it I don’t even want to vote now.”
To make matters worse, his attempt to clarify from GQ:
It was more than just a tweet, I guess. I support Donald Trump. I don’t support every little thing. Trump goes his own way. He’s a leader, not a follower, and he’s proven that by humbling the other campaigns. I think in regards to him becoming president, well, the electoral college will be the decider.
I don’t agree with banning gay marriage. It’s outlandish, because he has supported the gay community before. And building a wall is totally outrageous.
If Trump can’t change some of his ways of thinking, then I’m just going to sit this one out.
Such clarity, such conviction…at least he’s not supporting Hillary, but you never know…
