One of the most divisive aspects of this war, seized on by opponents of the current Bush administration, has been
the issue of Iraqi weapons of mass destruction (WMD). Large stockpiles of weapons were not found during
the invasion, at least not to the satisfaction of critics. (Read the next section "What We Now Know" for a rundown of what was found - then you decide).
In addition to daily attacks on the President
by the media in print and broadcast,
there is the false claim that weapons were the sole purpose for the Iraq invasion. In fact, they were part of a litany of justifications
for regime change as we have outlined in detail. As an attempt to score political points, hypocrisy has run rampant
in the opposing democratic party. Below is a sample of what they were saying years before George Bush even took office,
and right up until the war after looking at the same evidence. Also, refer to the video at the beginning of this article.

Harry Reid Surrenders and Declares War Lost
In full view of the world, the President has been accused of lying, hyping, misleading, warmongering, and being "worse than the terrorists",
- by members of Congress and former presidents! The liberal biased press, democrats, anti-war fanatics, harebrained entertainers,
and screwball blog websites have gone further than anything to prolong this war by emboldening our enemies, and put us in further danger.
The enemy hears and sees it all. Honest dissent and constructive criticism are good, treason is bad. This kind of public display
prolongs wars by emboldening the enemy and causes more military deaths.
